De Brock is pleased to present "Red", opening on August 5th.

Since the cave paintings of Lascaux, the color red has played a starring role in the story of art history. Through the centuries, it has conjured emotions such as love, lust, and rage, and served as a symbol of wealth, war, revolution, and religious sacrifice.

In the realm of art, few colors evoke as much emotion, intensity, and allure as the color red. It is the hue of passion and power, the shade of love and desire, the embodiment of both danger and warmth. Red has been a muse for artists throughout history, inviting them to explore its depths and dimensions, pushing the boundaries of creativity and expression.

Join us in celebrating the color red in all its glory, as seen through the eyes of these exceptional artists. Within the infinite shades of red, we discover not only the spectrum of human feeling but also the endless possibilities of artistic creation.

The exhibition includes work by Ethan Cook, Keith Coventry, Donald Judd, Imi Knoebel, Sol LeWitt, Jason Martin, John McCracken, Serge Poliakoff, Niele Toroni and Lawrence Weiner.
